Well here I am, waiting...waiting...waiting until the time comes to head east to jefferson and north to cass to take my STLFD physical ability test. I'm nervous, but I know I can only do my best. The rest is out of my hands.

My dad was a loving husband and father. The kind of guy that would give a stranger the shirt off of his back. He was a christian. He could build anything he wanted (including our house). He was a country boy and a sophisticated gentleman. He served the country in the Navy. He was and will always continue to be, my hero.
Sorry I couldn't be more creative with the title but hey, it's what's on my mind right now. Last night the next president of the USA won yet another state. With his weekend sweeps, he caused his running mate HIllary to fire and replace her campain manager. Ya Hillary, I'm sure it was his fault and not yours. Well I gotta get ready for work. Don't have much time to do anything today because of school this afternoon. I leave you with this...
My STLFD test is coming up on Thursday. It's the big one. My time on this test will make me or break me as far as if/when I enter the academy. I've been practicing a lot lately. I hope it does me some good. The test is a relay. I'll have to complete a series of events with in 8 minutes 39 seconds just to PASS
Here I go again, although not on my own. This will be another countless attempt at a blog. Where to start? Well pretty much anyone who would read this knows me well enough already. I'm Jake...plain and simple. I've heard a phrase before that I love. "I've never met a man I didn't like." I'm not sure who said it but it rings so true with me. I like everyone and I want everyone to like me. You don't have to earn my respect, you will have it from day one but watch out because it isn't hard to lose it.
